The North is moving at full speed

We started recruitment for Volunteer Interviewers in the Northern region of BC in August. Since then we have had many wonderful individuals step forward to offer their time (and ears) to listening to the voices of residents in long-term care.

This past Saturday, another terrific group of enthusiastic volunteers completed their one day in-person training session in Prince George. These volunteers are now fully equipped to schedule shifts and begin interviewing residents in long term care homes. This was our 6th training day in the North in just over a month and now have more than 30 northern volunteers who have completed the training.  Training sessions have been held in Prince George, Fort St. John, and Terrace. To date our amazing volunteers have completed over 300 hours, and 100 surveys in Prince George.

Stay tuned, there will be more training sessions scheduled soon in other northern regions.   SIGN UP NOW, we still need volunteers in Smithers, Houston, Prince Rupert, Terrace, Kitimat, Burns Lake, Vanderhoof, Fort St. James, Quesnel, Dawson Creek, Fort St. John and Prince George.
